I have known Patty Ross for the last 20 years. If it were not for her, I
would not be in the position that I hold today, that being assistant to
Michael Byatt. Patty has always been the utmost in professionalism
both in handling horses and clients.
I first met her when she had a
training center
in Colorado. It was impeccable. Even the broodmares looked as if they
were ready for the show ring at any given moment.
She also was, and still is my mentor when it comes to
breeding and analyzing pedigrees. I was also fortunate enough to
acquire a mare from Patty a couple of years ago to start my own breeding

To whom it may concern: We have come to know & love Patty over the past 4 years & value her expertise and ability to see and choose the perfect horse for each and every client. Clients who inevitable become close friends. Without Patty we would not be headed in our current direction as a breeding farm. The past several years have
been characterized by "change" in the horse market. Few breeds
have felt this the way the Arabian horse breed
has, with historic highs followed by seemingly disastrous lows. Many of
the people and farms who were industry leaders have since experienced financial
hardships. Although these happenings are common knowledge, I remind you of
them to help illustrate the abilities and talents of Patty Ross.
In the midst of this
changing market, it was Patty with her determination and broad-mindedness who
kept a training farm's stalls filled. Among her attributes are her
ability to deal with people and basically sell herself, her farm ,etc, to
clients and prospective clients. Too frequently, it is easy to lose
sight , that the horse business is in fact a people business. The
animals are typically the easiest part of the business, while owner's
egos, expectations and personalities are what is hardest to deal with.
Patty understands these emotions that dictate a horses destiny and can
help the owner keep a better perspective on reality.
Secondly, Patty is
knowledgeable about horses, and particularly the Arabian horse. Her varied
experiences with breeding, training, and showing and veterinarian work
give her a broad knowledge which takes years to gain. In our
area of the world, few people know pedigrees and understand bloodlines and
selection the way Patty does. Although she herself has only been in the
show ring a limited number of times in recent years, she has been behind the
scenes for many quality horses. From conditioning to training to
grooming and prepping, Patty's horses stand out in the ring.
Finally, not that I could
not say much more Patty is a hard, willing worker. Life has
not been handed to her on a silver platter, but making the best of every
situation in my eyes, Patty Ross has been successful. This type of
success can only be gained through hard work and determination.
