Express Male:~

Huckleberry Bey x Portina

As you can see, pictures to follow!!!!

Hello Patty,

Theresa Rorabaugh of Twin Creek Farms forwarded your message requesting pictures of Express Male+ and Export.  I know we have lost touch through the years but I'd be glad to send you some photos of EM.  I probably also have some pictures of your boy Export:  Hank and I had Stuart Vesty take photos for us at US Nationals in 1996 of  the EM kids that were national winners that year.   We advertised their wins in the TIMES that year with a "family photo" of the four of them in front of Freedom Hall.   But there were also individual prints of each horse and owner/handler.  After his youth national championship, Export was purchased by a retired teacher from Minnesota, Betty English.  As far as I know she still owns him.

You probably know that the mare Bey Fire Express has been national champion or reserve 7 times; Heir Male was twice reserve national champion; Phantom Bey Xpres was reserve national champion; and Speciall Delivery took an equitation rider to a national championship.  And there were several others with national top tens in halter.  Not a bad record for a sire with such a limited number of offspring.

We sold all but 2 of our EM babies, but still have a pretty daughter from his last foal crop and also Post Mark++, who went double top ten at the 2006 US Nationals in Country Pleasure driving amateur and open, and was previously top ten in stallion halter as a 3 year old.

After losing EM, we didn't have the heart to breed for several years.  Deciding where to send the mares we had chosen for him was very difficult.  But they are good mares and we couldn't waste them, so now we have youngsters by Afire Bey V, A Temptation, Kool Fire, Padron's Psyche, FS Ritz, the saddlebred stallions  Monaco and Supremacy's High Time, whose half-Arabian filly that we bred was Champion yearling at the 2005 NSH Finals.

I'm not able to e-mail photos, but if you let me know your address, I'll be glad to mail them.  Hope all is well with you,

Candy Ely
